The training was organized as part of the project entitled: “Accessible Reading Materials: Dignity of Persons with Visual Impairment” which is funded by Disability Rights Fund/Disability Rights Advocacy Fund”
Safeguarding RUB’s beneficiaries, staff, sub-committee members and board members and having a workplace from any harm is fundamental to the Rwanda Union of the Blind (RUB) in all its activities and programmes.
Central to everything, RUB is committed to “do no harm” and to respecting the rights of all our beneficiaries, staffing groups and partners.
As expected, participants in the training are not only equipped with skills on the safeguarding policy and its implementation process but also with skills on how to report violation of incidences to enhance accountability, transparency and confidentiality towards the policy.
About Rwanda Union of the Blind
Rwanda Union of the Blind (RUB) is a local non-governmental organization legally operating in Rwanda since 1995. The organization’s mission is to work towards the improvement of the situation of blind people through education and rehabilitation to facilitate meaningful equality and integration.
